The IMS Opening Keynote sets the tone for the week as Steven Braines takes the stage as co-founder of HE.SHE.THEY. and a leading voice reshaping club culture, Braines has consistently challenged the industry’s comfort zones, from access and representation to who holds the real power behind the scenes. Online visibility fuels artistic growth, but it also fuels abuse. As platforms reward provocation and algorithms amplify outrage, harassment has intensified, with real-world consequences from mental health strain to curtailed careers. We address how the industry can confront misogyny and online hostility, protect artists and rebuild digital culture, ensuring abuse is not normalised as the inevitable cost of visibility.
The opening discussion of IMS sets the stage for 2026; a response to a pivotal moment for the global electronic music community, as its culture and foundations are increasingly shaped by forces beyond the dancefloor. As private investment, consolidation, the acceleration of AI, shifting audience behaviours, and rapid digital innovation redefine how music is created, distributed, experienced, and monetised, we bring together artists, industry leaders, and cultural custodians to examine what is being gained, what is being lost, and what must be protected to ensure electronic music can survive scale without dilution.
The "How The Industry Works: The Next Generation Guide" keynote will provide an insightful overview of the evolving landscape of the industry. Aimed at equipping the next generation of professionals with essential knowledge, the session will cover key trends, technologies, and strategies shaping the future. Industry leaders will share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead, offering valuable guidance to navigate the dynamic shifts in the marketplace. Attendees will gain actionable insights and a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in the ever-changing industry environment.
The gut-brain connection is one of the most compelling frontiers in health science — and one of the most overlooked in an industry that runs on adrenaline, late nights, and whatever's available. Registered Nutritional Therapist and certified Functional Medicine practitioner Catherine Arnold breaks down the relationship between diet and mental health, and why what you eat may have more influence over your mood, focus, and resilience than anything else in your toolkit. Practical, science-backed, and directly applicable to life on the road.
Electronic music has long represented the ideals of freedom, community, and belonging. But for too many people, and women in particular, that promise has been broken by a persistent and largely unchecked culture of sexual harassment and assault. This workshop moves beyond naming the problem. It asks what the industry is actually going to do about it. With practitioners, artists, campaigners, and standards bodies in the room, this is an opportunity to move the conversation from reactive crisis management to lasting change, and specifically to examine how promoters, artists, and industry leaders can shift men from passive bystanders into active participants in building safer spaces.

As periods of instability are continuously reshaping electronic music, we explore how crises alter power structures within music, from who gets funded and platformed, to which voices are amplified or marginalised in times of instability. We explore how disruption can also create the conditions for reinvention, resistance, and deeper artistic purpose, and ask how the industry can remain globally connected, ethically grounded, and creatively resilient in a world defined by uncertainty

Forget everything you've heard about meditation—which, by definition, involves focus and concentration. Transcendence requires neither. That's why it actually works, for both novices and veterans alike. Transcendence is a 5,000-year-old technique utilising personalised Sanskrit mantras, which resonate with each person’s individual mind to naturally move awareness beyond thought into a state of hypo-metabolic rest scientifically shown to be many times deeper than sleep—with no effort required. The result is an unparalleled level of physical recovery, stress release, and mental clarity. If other techniques haven't clicked, this one thing can change everything.

Artist teams today operate in an environment of unprecedented data volume, yet much of it remains fragmented across platforms, making it difficult to understand cause and effect or translate insights into clear decisions. The core challenge is not access to data, but the lack of a unified system that connects signals into actionable intelligence. Co:brand addresses this by serving as an operating system for artist teams, bringing together data, fan insights, and growth signals to enable real-time, informed decision-making and direct fan engagement. This framing sets the foundation for a deeper conversation with leading managers who are already centralizing their workflows in this way, exploring what it unlocks in practice and how it is reshaping the way artist careers are built.

Subtle pressures are shaping what is platformed and what is sidelined, and increasingly they are being written into performance contracts. As morality clauses expand and scrutiny intensifies, the dancefloor must balance responsibility, safety, and freedom of expression without allowing fear to formalise creative boundaries. In an era where reputations can shift overnight, this session asks how the industry can protect audiences without contractually narrowing artistic expression or redefining the limits of cultural freedom.
Artist teams today are exposed to more data than ever. Streaming numbers, social metrics, fan behaviour and marketing strategy have lived in silos, creating difficulty in understanding cause and effect. The managers of Chase & Status and Goldford have been among the first to centralise it into one operating system, co:brand. This conversation is about what that unlocks, and why the gap between having data and having technology that helps you understand it has been the real problem all along.

Deezer’s CMO, Maria Garrido, explores the findings of a groundbreaking study conducted by Deezer and Ipsos, which surveyed 9,000 people across eight countries to better understand how listeners perceive fully AI-generated music. In this keynote session, she examines what these insights mean for the music industry, how audiences are responding to the rise of generative AI in music, and how these shifts are set to impact the broader electronic music ecosystem.
A $200 billion AI industry exists, yet no cultural rituals exist to make sense of it. While discussions remain focused on regulation and technological capability, Mathame has created a living, touring mythology that transforms our relationship with Artificial Intelligence into a shared, physical experience – one that shows coexistence is not only possible, but essential. The project is called NEO: the first large-scale AI awareness vehicle, operating at the very heart of entertainment.
Generative AI is already changing how music is created, used and monetised. Building on the AFEM AI Principles and the Berlin AI Think Tank, this talk by Ralph Boege explores how the industry is moving toward scientifically grounded, real-world licensing frameworks that support innovation while protecting creators and rightsholders.AIxchange introduces a consent-based approach to licensing recordings, compositions and metadata for AI use, grounded in transparency, attribution and fair compensation, unlocking new revenue opportunities while keeping creators at the centre of the value chain.
AI is no longer knocking at the door of electronic music; it is inside the room, reshaping how music is made, discovered, and monetised. From studios to stages, generative tools are accelerating creativity while challenging ideas of authorship and ownership. As capabilities grow, moral questions intensify. Where must the lines be drawn, and what values should govern its use consciously to ensure our culture remains driven by people, and not machines.
Ibiza in 2026 stands at a critical inflection point. Long celebrated as a paradise for culture and creativity, the island now faces mounting pressures from over-tourism, ecological threats, rising costs, and intensifying demand. Last season’s consolidation wave redrew the island’s power map, sharpening battle lines between operators and concentrating influence. As identity and access come into question, can she remain a sanctuary for artistic freedom, or will growth erode the foundations that made her magnetic? We gather key voices to define her next chapter and safeguard her cultural future.

For the first time in music history, an artist’s voice itself can become a licensable asset. As AI voice moves from viral experiments to real commercial infrastructure, the industry faces new questions around ownership, consent, and revenue. In this session, Voice-Swap explores how voice models are reshaping music rights, and how artists and labels can protect, control, and monetise their voices through Voice-Swap’s web platform, VST/AU plugin, text-to-speech service, and API.

The language of equity is fluent, but power may be quietly shifting back. As attention fades, gatekeeping resurfaces and hard-won gains risk regression. Years after public commitments to inclusion, the question is no longer intention but protection. Who holds power now, and who is being edged out? Bringing together leading women and collectives, this session confronts whether progress is being sustained or unashamedly undone, and what it will take to secure lasting structural change.

As majors prioritise low-risk signings, agile, multi-function teams have turned independence into a competitive advantage. Pro-innovation rather than anti-major, this session unpacks how indie managers expand festival access, grow international touring, harness direct fan relationships, and navigate flexible release partnerships (across both independent and major ecosystems), spotlighting a paradigm shift in modern artist development.

Few people in this industry have lived the extremes as openly—or survived them as honestly—as Brandon Block. One of the defining DJs of the Ibiza superclub era, Block spent years battling severe addiction before being given two weeks to live in 1996. He turned it around, and has spent the years since working in drug rehabilitation, mental health advocacy, and recovery support. In this candid interview with Ibiza Calm's John McKeown, Block reflects on how the industry shapes the conditions for addiction, what recovery actually looks like, and why this conversation still matters.
South Asian influence in electronic music is undeniable, from underground club movements to global stages. Yet influence does not always equal ownership. The next chapter is about authorship and narrative. Who tells the stories. Who curates the spaces. And how can cultural impact translate into lasting leadership and a defining role in the future of electronic music?
When Armada Music was founded in the early 2000s, electronic music operated within a far simpler release and career structure than it does today. Two decades on, the business has fractured, accelerated, and expanded into a complex web of platforms, territories, and expectations. At the centre of that evolution sits Maykel Piron, one of Armada’s three co-founders alongside Armin van Buuren, guiding the company through one of electronic music’s most sustained growth stories. In conversation with Pete Tong, the pair unpack the decisions that shape longevity: how careers are sustained beyond peak moments, how independence is preserved at scale, and how the focus evolves from breaking the rules to building institutions that can survive them.
