Nazen Carneiro

Journalist, DJ Mag Latinoamerica (BR)

Nazen Carneiro has built a career spanning more than two decades in the music industry, evolving from festival entrepreneurship to becoming a recognisable voice in the electronic music journalism. He has been writing for DJ Mag Brasil since 2018 and, in 2023, was appointed Editor-in-Chief. Under his direction, the magazine delivered around 100 radio shows across four different series, including more than 35 broadcasts from Ibiza 103.7 FM. In 2025, Nazen Carneiro became the first Brazilian journalist to write the cover feature for DJ Mag Global, the world’s most influential dance music publication, with Alok. His writing also extends across the DJ Mag network in Latin America, Germany and Mexico consolidating his role as a bridge between the Latin American scene and the international market. Nazen publishes across multiple outlets in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German. At the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2022, alongside Mr Claudio Rocha Miranda, he highlighted the transformation of the Brazilian market and the post-pandemic landscape, emphasising the country’s growing role not only as a consumer of dance music but also as an exporter of talent — today fully recognised through the global presence of Alok and Vintage Culture, both ranked in the DJ Mag Top 10. In 2024, as a speaker at the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza, Nazen Carneiro coordinated the effort to bring ESG initiatives into focus with “The Power of Music in Climate Crisis”, joined by leading professionals from across the industry. Alongside his editorial work, Carneiro established NZPR, a public relations agency with clients in more than 17 countries. In 2023, the agency was recognised as the Best Entertainment PR Agency in Brazil by the Small Business Awards by Corporate Vision. Its portfolio spans artists, record labels such as Spinnin’Records, Get Physical, Iono Music, Zero Gravity as well as festivals, clubs, booking agencies, music tech and the ecossystem.
