Coco Francavilla

Artist, Sound Engineer, WIDER SOUNDS, Music For The Sea (IT)

Coco Francavilla is a composer and sound engineer based in Ibiza, with over 25 years of experience across electronic music, film, and studio production. She is the founder of WIDER SOUNDS, a recording studio and sonic retreat in the heart of the island. Her work bridges electronic and cinematic languages, shaped by sound synthesis and deep listening. Her credits include scoring and trailer work for major productions such as Blade Runner 2049 and S is for Stanley (on Stanley Kubrick), alongside a wide range of international film and television projects. A longtime collaborator of Tricky (Massive Attack), who once described her as “the female version of me,” Coco has worked across the spectrum of electronic music, from underground and experimental scenes to large-scale collaborations and tours with artists such as Adam Beyer and the Afterlife label. As an artist, she has performed at festivals including Sónar, MUTEK, and Glastonbury. Alongside her studio practice and ambient projects, Coco advocates for female representation in music production and is the founder of MusicForTheSea.org, an Ibiza-based non-profit endorsed by UNESCO as part of the UN Ocean Decade. Her work explores the meeting point between music, sustainability, sonic ecology, and sound as a space for connection and healing.
