LOVEFOXY
Artist, (DE)
LOVEFOXY may have emerged fully formed onto the international house music scene only in the last few years, but she’s been fully schooled in the genre since her teens. Deviating from Berlin’s hard-edged techno standards to bathe in the jubilance and self-expression of the city’s equally energetic house scene, the hard-grafting DJ, producer and tastemaker is already a local icon on the way to international notoriety.
Her era-spanning sets are rhythmic journeys through the history and promise of house culture, paying equal attention to crate-digging its unmatched legacy and tapping into the fresh, tangy currents of its future. Mirroring her devoted and ever-growing dance floors – a following that naturally intersects with fans of LSDXOXO and Honey Dijon – LOVEFOXY channels this energy in visceral, physical form. She studied ballet and dance performance at Barcelona’s Institute of the Arts, and her sets carry that training – embodied, instinctive, and constantly in motion. In the booth, on the speakers and amongst the crowd, she simply never stops dancing.
“My goal is simple: to transform every space I play into a vibrant dance floor where people can let loose, connect, and feel the moment. I love weaving ‘90s classic house sounds with old-school Detroit techno and reading the vibe of the crowd, creating an atmosphere that keeps everyone moving.” – LOVEFOXY
Born and raised in the buzzing, working-class epicentre of Kreuzberg, Berlin, LOVEFOXY has sensed the city’s creative, party-ready potential throughout her entire life. Even before her arrival on the dance floor, or even on Earth, her mother had opened Berlin’s first house club, frequented by David Bowie on some of his lesser-documented hedonistic adventures in the German capital.
Alongside her magnetic DJ performances, LOVEFOXY’s recent forays into production have proven just as memorable. Her EPs ‘Burning Down the Sluthouse’ on Nervous and ‘Lord Juice’ on WHP Records introduced her as a fiercely talented producer making bold, sassy club music with serious intent. As Logic1000 put it: “Her drum programming alongside the vocal sampling is a perfect 10 in my opinion. She’s so extra and I love it.”
A mere four years after first taking to the decks, and having made a visceral impact on Boiler Room, at Berghain and alongside like-minded selectors such as DJ Heartstring, Eliza Rose and Floorplan, 2026 registers the most exciting reverberation yet from the house of LOVEFOXY. HOTLORD is a new record label that plunges directly into the sweet spots of her musical passions, from old-school jack to lush melodies, gritty jams banged outta-the-box through to festival conquering bangers.
HOTLORD begins with ‘Catcall’, LOVEFOXY’s own collaboration with a remaining underground hero of house culture, Kyle Hall, capturing an ongoing dialogue between Detroit and Berlin. Driven by bold curation, HOTLORD promises to deliver a vision of true house music, one that blends iconic legends and future heroes, all under LOVEFOXY’s warm, punchy groove.
