Raphael Pujol

Raphael Pujol, Vice President of Global Curation at Beatport, has a combined 20 + years of music industry experience with over 10 years as the A&R Manager of his own label, Heattraxx, and as an active DJ and Producer under the guise of The Checkup, playing gigs throughout the world since 2005. As VP at Beatport, Raphael’s mission is to guide and serve the ever-evolving DJ community while developing artists and labels on the platform. This can also be done through the accurate categorization of music, as well as the launching of new genres and developing new business and opportunities in untapped geographical locations. A great example is his championing of the Amapiano and Brazilian Funk genres on the platform and giving a global spotlight to the cultures and music from Brazil and South Africa. He is also curating the House and Home page on the store. On the side, Raphael is very interested in holistic health and mental health and is a certified practitioner.
