Andrea Faroppa

Andrea Faroppa is Director of Sónar+D and Responsible of Strategic Projects at Sónar. With degrees in Cultural Management & Creative Economics (Uruguay) and Communication & Cultural Industries (Barcelona), she has worked internationally across Uruguay, the UK, the US, and Spain in innovation events, and cultural programming.

Since 2016, she has been part of Sónar+D, the innovation program of Sónar Festival: a global meeting point for artists, technologists, and researchers exploring creativity as a tool for innovation within art and technology. Sónar+D serves as a platform where the local community meets members of the creative and technological sectors from around the world analysing the impact of creativity and arts in innovation and industry models and how the intersection of technology and creativity is reshaping not only the cultural sector but wider industries. She has been the Director of Sónar+D since 2021 and also responsible of Strategic Projects, working on the internationalization and the expansion of Sónar+D and Sónar.
