Leah Timmins
Somatic Therapist , Stretch Ibiza (UK)
Leah Timmins, a certified trauma-informed Somatic Therapist, and former professional dancer. The practice brings together Leah’s dual background in movement and therapy, integrating physical, emotional, and somatic approaches to wellbeing. With over 18 years of higher education and hands-on experience, Leah began her career as a professional dancer after completing a BA (Hons) in Dance. She later specialised in Somatics at postgraduate level (MA), focusing on the intricate relationship between mind and body. Following her own personal journey through grief and trauma after losing her sister, Leah deepened her engagement with somatic practices as a means of healing, both personally and professionally.
Today, Stretch Ibiza is Leah’s full-time practice. She teaches regularly, hosts retreats and workshops, and offers a broad range of somatic teachings designed to support reconnection, regulation, and embodied awareness. Her work is rooted in compassion and informed by multiple therapeutic modalities that she has received in her own journey of disconnection and then gone on to study extensively, allowing her to offer highly individualised approaches from that lived experience. Leah’s teaching supports clients in understanding how emotional experiences are held within the body, guiding them to recognise, process, and integrate unexpressed emotion and trauma. Through this work, Stretch Ibiza creates a safe and supportive space for restoring balance, resilience, and a deeper connection to self.
