Silvia Montello

Music industry CEO with 35+ years commercial, marketing, strategic and ops experience, gained through working at majors, independents and startups, including senior leadership roles at Association for Electronic Music, Association of Independent Music, Universal, BMG, Kobalt/AWAL and Audio Network. Silvia now runs Voicebox Music Consulting, supporting music tech companies, labels and artists/DJs/Producers and their teams, committed to building a better, more equitable, sustainable and future-focussed music industry. A passionate dance/electronic music fan and long-time junglist, Silvia was part of an early all-female DJ collective ‘Femi-9-Product’ from the mid 90s, playing monthly nights and festivals across the UK, alongside promoting multi-room/multi-genre nights around London as part of dance music collectives Triology and WOT. In 2020 she co-founded electronic label/publisher #remarqabl with the mission to support and nurture under-represented talent from female, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. Silvia is Board member, Advisor and Mentor for non-profit organisations (including Association for Electronic Music, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, In Place of War, and Berklee Valencia) and a passionate campaigner for EDI, social justice, sustainability, neurodiversity advocacy and tackling the music industry mental health crisis.
