Todd Terry

Artist, Tee's Freeze Projects, Inc. (US)

Todd Terry is a Grammy-nominated DJ and producer whose influence has helped define house music for over three decades. Raised in Brooklyn, Terry was drawn early to European dance records, developing a sound that bridged underground credibility with global appeal. While recognition came first in the UK and Europe, his distinct style—raw, energetic, and soulful—quickly made him a cornerstone of the international dance scene.

By the late 1980s and early ’90s, Todd Terry had released a string of groundbreaking tracks such as A Day In The Life, Can You Party, and Weekend under aliases including Royal House, House of Gypsies, and the Todd Terry Project. His work dominated dance floors worldwide and cemented his reputation as a pioneer of house music.

Terry’s success led to major-label releases and chart-topping hits like Keep On Jumpin’ (featuring Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown) and Somethin’ Goin’ On, both UK crossover anthems. As a producer and remixer, he delivered iconic mixes for artists including Everything But The Girl, Björk, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Jamiroquai, and The Cardigans—most notably the remix of Missing, which became a global hit.

With countless classic releases, influential compilations, and ongoing collaborations, Todd Terry remains one of dance music’s most respected and enduring figures—still shaping the sound of the club and inspiring new generations of house music believers.
