Amber Haque

Amber Haque is a British broadcaster and DJ. She presents TV documentaries, podcasts and live radio for major global networks like BBC Three, Amazon Prime, BBC Sounds and CBS in the USA. Known for her adventurous, immersive storytelling, she explores everything from major Hollywood cases to the underground scenes and digital subcultures changing our world today. Amber is also one half of DJ duo KAKURA, formed with her partner Sean. Inspired by her heritage and the continents they’ve travelled, their records fuse infectious electronic music with global influences. The pair have performed around the globe, from Asia and Africa to their beloved second home Ibiza, including multiple sets at Pikes and Blue Marlin. Amber hosted the first ever IMS panel exploring South Asian identity in electronic music and regularly speaks about industry change at the Edinburgh TV Festival. A proud Mancunian and mixed-race South Asian woman, she is a passionate advocate for working-class and diverse talent across TV and music.
