IMS Ibiza Delegate Code of Conduct

IMS is a professional gathering for the global electronic music community. All delegates, speakers, partners and staff are expected to behave respectfully and professionally throughout the event. By attending IMS, all participants agree to the following standards of conduct.

Professional Environment

IMS is a professional environment designed for industry dialogue, collaboration and networking. Delegates should conduct themselves in a respectful, considerate and appropriate manner at all times.

Respect for Others

All participants must treat others with respect and dignity. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation or behaviour that undermines the safety or wellbeing of others will not be tolerated. This includes behaviour relating to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age or any other personal characteristic.

Personal Boundaries

Delegates must respect personal boundaries. Unwanted attention, persistent advances, inappropriate comments, or behaviour that causes another participant to feel uncomfortable or unsafe is not acceptable. Delegates should respect when others decline invitations, do not respond to messages, or wish to end conversations.

Professional Networking

Networking is a core part of the IMS experience. Delegates are expected to approach networking in a respectful and professional manner. Excessive, aggressive or inappropriate networking behaviour is unacceptable.

Behaviour at Social Events

IMS includes social gatherings and networking events. Delegates are expected to behave responsibly and ensure these environments remain respectful and welcoming for all participants.

Digital Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to all official IMS digital platforms, including the IMS networking platform and messaging systems. Delegates must not use these platforms to send unsolicited, inappropriate or repeated messages that could be considered harassment. Please refer to the IMS Ibiza Networking Platform Usage Policy for more information.

Compliance with Event Staff

Delegates must follow the guidance of IMS staff and venue personnel where safety or conduct concerns arise.

Reporting Concerns

Delegates who experience or witness behaviour that may breach this Code of Conduct are encouraged to report it to an IMS staff member or venue security. Reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.

Breaches of the Code

IMS reserves the right to take appropriate action where behaviour breaches this Code of Conduct.

This may include:

  • issuing a warning
  • removing individuals from specific sessions or events
  • suspending networking app access
  • revoking a delegate pass without refund
  • restricting attendance at future IMS events

These measures exist to ensure that IMS remains a safe, professional and welcoming environment for everyone attending.
