Ghita Khaldi

Founder, AFRIKAYNA

Ghita Khaldi is both a cultural project director and the founder of the moroccan NGO Afrikayna. An organization dedicated to intercultural exchange, co-development, and cooperation across Africa.

Through Afrikayna, created in 2013, she designs, writes, and directs major programs for artistic dissemination, training, cooperation, and co-production. Her notable initiatives include the first Moroccan fund for artistic mobility in Africa: “Africa Art Lines,” as well as the VITA program (Valuing Traditional African Musical Instruments) and its “Instrumenthèque d’Afrique” (African Instrument Library).

Concurrently, she oversees the coordination and production of the L'boulevard Festival in Casablanca since 2014, and the JIDAR street art festival in Rabat within the EAC L’boulvart association. Her production expertise extends to prior collaborations, notably as an artistic production coordinator for several editions of the Gnaoua and World Music Festival of Essaouira.

She also contributes as an expert, consultant, and/or evaluator for major international programs (e.g., IFCD-UNESCO, AFAC…). Her commitment to sector structuring is demonstrated by her previous active involvement in several regional and international arts and culture networks, including serving as a board member for entities like the African Culture Fund, the Music in Africa Foundation, and the International Music Council.

More recently, she expanded her scope by establishing the agency South-Sawt, specializing in cultural engineering and consulting.
