Tarek ElMendelek

Tarek El Mendelek is a music industry executive well versed in the artist management, A&R, music partnerships, and touring worlds. Tarek first started his professional path in the industry by supporting artists in putting on live shows around Beirut Lebanon, later moving to Los Angeles to study Music Business at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his 4 years in LA, Tarek managed to score an internship at Live Nation Entertainment which was then followed by an Artist Manager role for artist management and talent development firm Grass Fed Music, home to Sabrina Claudio, Sad Money and more, managing a catalogue of up-and-coming artists, songwriters and producers (Gavin Haley, Krs, August 08 and others) while also independently managing electronic music producer and artist offrami who has amassed over 100M streams across platforms.

Since his return from the United States in late 2020, Tarek has worked on co-creating Music For Beirut, a worldwide live-streamed concert aiming to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon after the tragic August 4 explosion. The event was broadcasted by VICE’s NOISEY YouTube channel, and supported by google. This was followed by a tenure at social media giant TikTok,  as Label & Artist Partnerships Manager working on multiple projects with both labels and artists who have risen to the top of the charts and the industry. In 2023, Tarek joined Saudi Arabia’s MDLBEAST Records as a Talent and Product Manager, playing a key role in projects for artists across the SWANA region, including TUL8TE, Zeyne, Donia Wael, Dafencii, Cosmicat, Nour, Bayou, Ahmed Basyoni, and Hussein Gamal. His contributions continue to shape the regional music scene, supporting emerging talent and innovative music ventures.
