Spain – IMS 2014 – The Underground Movement

14 August 2014

WHO: Juan Arnau Lasierra (Enter Group / Monegros) Juan Arnau Duran (Enter Group / Monegros) Enric Palau (Sonar) Paco Osuna (Artist) Uner (Artist). Hosted by Grego O'Halloran (Ibiza Spotlight)

WHAT: The first all-Spanish panel at IMS debated the state of the underground scene in Spain. We hear the story of the Enter Group from Spain (not related to Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.) and their century-long journey to become the international events empire that it is today. They discuss the significance of the Florida Club founded in 1942, the humble beginnings of Sonar and the how the revolutionary Elrow concept all went wrong.

HIGHLIGHTS: Juan Arnau Duran shares the incredible history of five generations of the Arnau family business, why Jeff Mills likes to travel by Renault 11 and what their grandfather thought of Fabio and Grooverider’s sets. We hear why Uner would sometimes rather his club be half-full, what made Paco orgasm and Enric Palaua tells us what he really thinks about the ‘Off Sonar’ phenomenon.
