Claire O’neill

Co-founder of A Greener Festival (AGF), Aerialist with Arcadia Spectacular, and organiser of the Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI). Claire’s 2006 research led to the formation of AGF, which has since assessed 500 events worldwide through The Greener Festival Award, trained 100 assessors, and founded GEI in London. Claire leads AGF consultancy,  including clients such as Coda Agency, AEG, Cascais Municipality and the Royal Horticultural Society.


The Green Events and Innovations Conference, entering its 13th year in 2021, kicks off the International Live Music Conference (ILMC). Claire is Co-Founder, Producer and Curator of GEI, welcoming environmental experts and the live industry to accelerate progress towards greener events.


As part of Arcadia Spectacular, Claire works in Creative development, Partnerships and as Aerial Performer on the Spider Stage, from Glastonbury Festival to international tours. Additionally, Claire is a Director of the not for profit arm “Arcadia Reach CIC” established in 2018 with projects such as developing well drilling technology to improve water access in a remote part of Sierra Leone, and using the resources of Arcadia to provide access to such remote places.


Claire’s career has included General Manager of the Association of Independent Festivals,  New Media and Licensing Manager at Media Records, and varied festival management roles over the last 15 years, from logistics at Bestival, Show Manager at Arcadia Glastonbury, to Market Manager at Global Gathering; plus the occasional stint flying off the London Olympic Stadium roof dressed as Mary Poppins.


Claire is also the Chair of the AFEM Green Initatives working group.
